Conflict Management for Biosciences

Graduate Programs in Bioscience invites you to participate in a workshop that has been developed to address implicit biases affecting academic well-being and perceived barriers to effectively communicating. The goal is to empower participants to proactively identify and successfully navigate common biases and communication difficulties in order to foster an enriched environment that facilitates open dialogue.


For students to recognize the cultural dynamics of conflict
For students to let go of negative associations with conflict and understand that conflict is a neutral process
For students to recognize hidden opportunities for collaboration, consensus, and relationship building
For students to develop self-awareness their conflict management styles and learn constructive ways of working through conflict
