Graduate Programs in Bioscience (GPB) mentors and educators are crucial to our training mission. Those who serve as primary mentors are GPB Home Area Members, and others who participate in the educational mission are general members.
To provide a supportive learning environment for our trainees, many GPB-affiliated faculty have completed an optional UCLA mentor training that covers six primary mentoring competencies, or they have participated in mentor training as a Hughes Medical Institute Gilliam Fellow mentor, and they have stayed current by taking a refresher course every 3-4 years. Those faculty are indicated below with a star (*). To learn more about faculty mentor training, visit our faculty mentor webpage.
